This Moment Is All We’ve Got

I’ve come to realize that happiness doesn’t have anything to do with what you have or where you’re at in life. You could have millions of dollars and be living the life of your dreams, but if you’re stressed out, then you’re going to feel like crap. We’re always searching instead of being content with where we are. We think that we will get stuck and never move forward if we settle for where we’re at in the moment. But that’s not true at all. We actually end up growing and evolving even more once we realize that there’s no end to happiness. Happiness is not a destination. Happiness is making the most out of your life the way it’s right at this very second.

Yes, we want security but when we get too caught up in chasing comfort, it leaves us feeling even more empty. We miss out on opportunities because we’re too busy focusing on the materialistic instead of on our own spirituality. We forget that there’s adventure in challenging times and so much to learn. It’s very messy and its definitely scary but it’s worth it. It may not feel that way while it’s happening, but when we look back, it’s a lot easier to see why things had to happen the way that they did. We can’t always have things go exactly as we want them to. This is because the universe has a better plan in mind for all of us. We will wish upon stars and hope and pray for things but then feel discouraged when life doesn’t seem to be going our way. We just can’t see that our wish has already been granted and our prayers have been answered, it just may not come in the form we thought it would. This has been so difficult for me to grasp myself. And I still battle with it everyday. I scream out in frustration but I know it’s going to get me no where. That the only thing I can do is express these emotions in constructive and creative ways. This is what helps people. This is what changes the world. Not sitting around hoping thing will be different. But using all you got right here, right now to create something we can all benefit from.
